152 dogs saved from cramped conditions in Utah home

Over 150 dogs were rescued from a Utah home on April 15 after authorities received reports of possible animal neglect. The Ogden Police Department found the dogs living in extremely poor and overcrowded conditions in a residence in Weber County, just north of Salt Lake City. Various animal services agencies responded to safely transport the dogs away from the property for veterinary care and evaluations.

The police department expressed gratitude to all responding agencies and partners for helping ensure the safety and well-being of the animals. No arrests have been made yet as the case remains under investigation. The dogs are currently not available for adoption as they undergo medical treatment and standard shelter protocols.

Pet adoptions are expected to begin sometime next week starting on April 21. The dogs are being sheltered in separate areas to prevent the spread of diseases and efforts are being made to work with rescue groups and other shelters for possible relocation and fostering options. Weber County Animal Services is coordinating with these partners to provide medical care and find new homes for these dogs.

The community will be informed when the dogs are available for adoption and fostering. The authorities are working to ensure the well-being of the rescued dogs and finding them loving homes.
