Lenox Holds Off Wahconah with Strong Fourth Quarter in Boys Lacrosse Game


In a close and competitive match, the Lenox boys lacrosse team secured a narrow 7-6 victory over Wahconah. The game was tied at halftime, but Lenox was down by one goal heading into the fourth quarter. The Millionaires found a spark in the final quarter, outscoring the Warriors 3-1 to clinch the win. Luke Gamberoni led the attack for Lenox with a hat trick, while Oliver Kirby contributed two goals and one assist. Goalkeeper Jeffrey Larmon made 11 saves to help secure the victory.

With the win, Lenox improved to 5-3 on the season, while Wahconah dropped to 1-4. Both teams will be back in action on Saturday, April 19, with Lenox facing McCann Technical and Wahconah taking on Columbia.

In other boys lacrosse action, several teams competed in various leagues. In the Bay State Conference, Walpole High School defeated Weymouth High School 17-4, Newton North High School beat Braintree High School 18-4, and Wellesley High School edged out Natick High School 8-6. In the Catholic Conference, Longmeadow High School topped Saint John’s High School (Shrewsbury) 16-7. Agawam High School dominated Belchertown High School 17-3 in the Pioneer League, and Hoosac Valley Middle/High School defeated Springfield Central High School 13-2 in the Suburban League. BC High also secured a 15-8 win over Moses Brown in an independent matchup.
