James Florence Jr., a Plymouth man, pleaded guilty to cyberstalking seven women he knew for over 15 years. He used more than 60 social media accounts across nearly 30 platforms to harass them with AI-generated sex ads. Florence faced seven counts of cyberstalking and one count of possession of child pornography in U.S. District Court. He would steal photos and information from women he knew personally or as acquaintances, including children. Florence would alter the pictures to make the women appear nude or engaged in sexual acts, then posted them online with their real information. Investigators found stolen women’s underwear and socks, along with child pornography at his home. Florence created social media accounts pretending to be the victims and shared the photoshopped images. He also urged others to harass the women and tried to sell their pictures online. Many of the women continue to receive threats and harassment from unknown users who encountered Florence’s content. Despite his knowledge of computers, Florence’s sentencing is scheduled for July 23.
