Softball and baseball teams across Massachusetts had a busy Saturday, with several games taking place in various leagues. In softball action, Lenox Memorial Middle & High School won against McCann Technical High School in both the Bi-County and Suburban East leagues, while Hopkins Academy dominated Easthampton High School in the Franklin East and Valley Wheel leagues. Wachusett Regional High School also secured a victory against Turners Falls High School in the Franklin West and Independent leagues.
In baseball, Weymouth High School emerged victorious over Wachusett Regional High School in the Bay State league, while Taunton High School defeated Xaverian in the Catholic league. Chicopee Comp High School triumphed over Ludlow High School in the Suburban Central and Valley Central leagues, while Greenfield High School shut out Frontier Regional School in the Suburban West league.
In girls lacrosse, Burnt Hills-Ballston Spa and Chelmsford High School both notched wins against Longmeadow High School and East Longmeadow High School, respectively, in the Independent and Valley Wheel leagues.
The boys lacrosse games saw St. John’s Prep and Andover High School emerging victorious in the Catholic Conference, while Columbia dominated Wahconah Regional High School in the Valley League. Overall, it was a competitive day of sports with teams showcasing their talent and determination on the field.
