Actress known for iconic roles in 80s slasher film and soap opera passes away at age 63


Iconic actress Lar Park Lincoln, best known for her roles in “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood” and “Knots Landing,” has passed away at the age of 63. Lincoln, who founded Actors Audition Studios, died on April 22 after a battle with breast cancer.

Born in Dallas, Texas in 1961, Lincoln’s career began with the TV movie “Children of the Night” in 1985, for which she won a Bronze Halo award. She went on to appear in various films and TV shows, including “Highway to Heaven” before starring in “Friday the 13th Part VII” in 1988. However, her most notable role was as Linda Fairgate in “Knots Landing” from 1987 to 1991.

In addition to her acting career, Lincoln also founded Actors Audition Studios and authored a book titled “Get Started, Not Scammed” in 2008. At the time of her passing, Lincoln was working on her autobiography, “Lucky Girl.” She leaves behind her daughter, sister, brother, and four grandchildren.

Lincoln’s family has requested that donations be made in her honor to either The SAG-AFTRA Foundation or The Entertainment Community Fund. Despite her passing, Lincoln’s legacy as a talented actress and dedicated mentor to aspiring actors will surely endure.
