Press Release: Rising Lacrosse Star Bella Duffy Shines at Braintree High School
Braintree, MA – Bella Duffy, a senior at Braintree High School, is making waves in the lacrosse scene with an impressive scoring record and leadership on the field. Her journey began in third grade, where she struggled initially but quickly fell in love with the sport’s competitive nature. Coach Jillian Coene recognized Duffy’s talent from day one, and over the past four years, the Wamps have improved significantly, reaching the Round of 16 last year.
Duffy recently became one of the top scorers in the Bay State Conference, surpassing 300 career points, including an outstanding seven-goal game against Oliver Ames. Now just 43 points shy of the school record held by Grace Reinold (343 points), Duffy remains focused on team success rather than personal accolades.
Amidst a challenging recruiting season, she found her match with Iona College, captivated by the coaching staff and team culture. As the Wamps gear up for their playoff push with a current record of 5-4, Duffy’s contributions will be vital. Looking ahead, Coach Coene believes Duffy has the potential to play at the professional level, making her future in lacrosse one to watch.
