Pope Francis Laid to Rest, Mourning Engulfs Catholic World
Vatican City — Pope Francis, who passed away on Easter Monday at 88, was honored in a solemn funeral held in St. Peter’s Square on Saturday. His burial will take place at St. Mary Major Basilica, fulfilling his wish to rest near his beloved Virgin Mary icon.
