MassLive Sports Report: Highlighting Recent High School Game Results
On May 2, local high school teams showcased their talent across various sports, delivering thrilling performances. In baseball, Braintree High defeated Milton High 10-6, while Nipmuc Regional narrowly edged Framingham 1-0. Athol High School secured a tight win against Lenox Memorial 1-0, alongside some dominant victories from McCann Technical (15-1 vs. Mahar) and Drury High School (11-1 vs. Smith Academy).
Softball results featured noteworthy wins with Greenfield High overpowering Northampton in a staggering 27-0 shutout. The Bay State saw Archbishop Williams claim a 10-4 victory against Braintree.
Lacrosse action also brought excitement, as Newton North triumphed over Weston in a nail-biting 15-14 finish. In boys’ lacrosse, BC High dominated Malden Catholic, winning 16-3.
Tennis matches were equally competitive, with Wellesley High securing a 5-0 clean sweep over Westborough. The boys’ tennis matches included impressive wins for Wellesley and West Springfield.
