Julian Edelman Inducted into Patriots Hall of Fame

The New England Patriots announced on Monday that Julian Edelman has become the 37th inductee into the Patriots Hall of Fame, joining an elite group as the 10th player to be honored as a three-time Super Bowl champion.
Edelman, who retired in 2021, spent his entire 12-year career with the Patriots after being drafted in the seventh round from Kent State in 2009. He amassed a remarkable 620 receptions, ranking second in franchise history, and ranked fourth in receiving yards with 6,822. Additionally, he holds the record for the most rushing attempts and yards by a Patriots wide receiver.
"Julian Edelman is one of the great success stories in our franchise’s history," commented Robert Kraft, Patriots chairman and CEO. "His commitment to honing his skills, combined with his explosiveness and elusiveness, made him one of the hardest players to defend."
Edelman not only showcased his talent during the regular season but also shined in the playoffs, recording 118 postseason receptions, ranking him third in NFL history. He earned immense respect and recognition for his performance, especially during Super Bowl LIII, where he was named MVP after securing 10 receptions for 141 yards.
His induction follows that of former teammate Tom Brady, who was honored a year prior. Brady and Edelman’s partnership significantly contributed to the Patriots’ success over the years. The timing for Edelman’s induction ceremony has yet to be finalized, but many fans look forward to celebrating his legacy in New England.
As the Patriots advance through the offseason, discussions surrounding their 2025 NFL Draft selections have echoed Edelman’s contributions and the impact of seasoned veterans like him on the team’s history.
