A 17-year-old teenager from North Texas, Isaac Leal, is critically injured after falling from a Jeep during a water gun game called “senior assassin,” popular among high school seniors. The incident occurred in Arlington on April 20 when Leal hopped onto the back of the Jeep, which accelerated rapidly. Witnesses report that the vehicle hit several bumps during a five-minute drive, leading to Leal falling off and suffering severe head injuries. His mother, Raquel Vazquez, believes the fall happened after the vehicle hit a dip.
Isaac, a promising baseball player at South Grand Prairie High School, is currently on life support just weeks ahead of graduation. His parents are seeking a criminal investigation into the incident, claiming that the driver made multiple sharp turns while driving at high speeds. They argue this was not merely an accident, with Vazquez expressing her devastation over the situation and her inability to return home without her son.
The Arlington Police Department is investigating the traffic incident but has not confirmed any foul play. They noted security camera footage showed Leal hanging out of the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Authorities across the U.S. have issued warnings about “senior assassin” and similar games due to safety concerns. Reports indicate that some students are modifying toy guns to look more realistic, creating potential dangers during these prank games. In response to several incidents involving students and faux weapons, various school officials and police departments have cautioned against participating in these activities.
