Three climbers lost their lives and a fourth was injured while rock climbing in the North Cascades mountains of Washington state. The tragic incident occurred on May 11, during a rappelling session in a steep gulley near North Early Winters Spire. Authorities from Okanogan County reported that an anchor failure led to a fall that resulted in the fatalities. One climber survived the incident and managed to seek help. Rescuers subsequently recovered the bodies of the three victims, who were aged 36, 47, and 63. Their names have not been disclosed.
