In an exciting round of high school sports, various teams showcased their skills across baseball, lacrosse, softball, and more.
In baseball, Franklin County Tech defeated Pathfinder Tech 10-2, while Mount Everett Regional overwhelmed Housatonic Valley 16-3. South Hadley managed a close win against Mount Greylock 5-2, and Ludlow edged out Chicopee with a 5-3 score.
On the boys’ lacrosse scene, Weymouth secured a nail-biting 9-8 victory over Braintree, and Norwell triumphed over Catholic Memorial 15-8. South Hadley also shined in the Pioneer League with a dominating 10-1 win over Belchertown.
The girls made headlines too, as Braintree narrowly defeated Weymouth 10-9 in a closely contested match. Wahconah Regional dominated Pittsfield with an 18-4 victory, while Northampton took a dramatic 14-13 win against West Springfield.
In volleyball, Braintree edged Wellesley 3-2, and Chicopee Comp achieved a clean sweep against Southwick with a 3-0 victory.
