Two City Hall Staffers Arrested Following Domestic Incident
BOSTON — Marwa Khudaynazar, 27, and her boyfriend Chulan Huang, 26, both city staff members, were arrested early Thursday morning in Chinatown during a domestic violence incident. Police responded to reports of ongoing violence around 2 a.m., where both individuals were involved in an altercation.
Khudaynazar, the chief of staff at the Office of Police Accountability and Transparency, faces charges for assaulting a police officer and domestic assault. Huang, a neighborhood liaison, is charged with domestic assault. Following the incident, both were placed on unpaid administrative leave while an investigation is ongoing.
Court documents reveal that upon police arrival, the couple appeared physically marked, with allegations of biting and theft surfacing. Khudaynazar reportedly attacked an officer and resisted leaving the premises, while Huang declared their employment with the city, deeming the situation unnecessary.
Both individuals pleaded not guilty and were released on their own recognizance. The city has not issued further comments and has filed for a protective order to limit public disclosures regarding the case. Their professional profiles have been temporarily removed from city resources.
