Steve Burton Ties the Knot: Highlights from "General Hospital" Star’s Intimate Wedding
Laguna Beach, CA – Steve Burton, the beloved 54-year-old star of "General Hospital," exchanged vows with chef and content creator Michelle Lundstrom in a heartfelt ceremony held on Saturday. The event took place at an Orthodox church and was attended by close family members, followed by an oceanfront reception for 45 guests. Notable attendees included fellow "General Hospital" stars Jonathan Jackson and his wife, Lisa Vultaggio.
"This day isn’t just about a ceremony. It’s the beginning of forever with the love of my life," Burton shared with People. His children—Makena, 21, Jack, 19, and Brooklyn, 10, from his previous marriage to Sheree Gustin—were part of the wedding party, alongside Lundstrom’s daughters, Lilah, 14, and Hannah, 10.
Lundstrom dazzled in a custom strapless couture gown by Lee Petra Grebenau. "When I tried on my dress I knew it was the one," she recalled. Burton expressed his joy, stating, “I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, growing together each day in faith and love.”
The couple made their relationship public at the Daytime Emmy Awards in June 2024, sharing their excitement for their first red carpet appearance together.
Burton’s previous marriage to Gustin ended in July 2022, marked by a public separation and a highly publicized split that included Gustin’s pregnancy with another man’s child. The couple finalized their divorce in December 2023, agreeing to shared custody of their three children.
A veteran of "General Hospital," Burton’s journey on the show has been filled with ups and downs, including his departure over a COVID-19 vaccine mandate and subsequent return in 2024, albeit not in a permanent role.
