Missing California Student Discovered Deceased in Lake Following Group Outing


Tanner Prentiss, a 22-year-old college student from the University of California at Santa Barbara, was found dead in Big Bear Lake after going missing over the weekend. He was last seen around 12:30 a.m. on May 17 while visiting the area with friends. His friends reported him missing after he did not return to their rental cabin. Search efforts culminated on May 19 when a helicopter team spotted his body near Pine Knot Marina; divers subsequently retrieved it from the water.
