Epic Universe Opens at Universal Orlando Resort: A New Era of Theme Parks
Universal Orlando Resort is set to unveil its much-anticipated theme park, Epic Universe, on Thursday, marking Florida’s first major traditional theme park opening since 1999. This launch comes following the introduction of the water park Volcano Bay in 2017.
Billed as one of the most immersive theme parks ever, Epic Universe features five captivating worlds: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, and Celestial Park. Each realm promises extraordinary adventures, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance guest experiences.
Universal officials emphasize that Epic Universe is the company’s most technologically advanced park to date, introducing features like a facial recognition system for express ride lines, designed to streamline guest access to attractions.
For those eager to catch a glimpse of the park’s offerings, Universal invites fans to join a live stream of the festivities on Thursday, starting at 7:30 a.m. on UniversalOrlando.com.
In addition to the excitement surrounding Epic Universe, Comcast NBCUniversal is expanding its global footprint with plans for its first Universal-branded theme park and resort in Europe, located north of London. A year-round horror entertainment experience in Las Vegas is also set to debut later this year, followed by a family-oriented theme park in a Dallas suburb in 2024.
As Epic Universe prepares to open its gates, anticipation builds for what many are calling a transformative addition to the theme park landscape. For live stream details and further information, guests can visit www.universalorlando.com.
