Northampton Dominates Chicopee in Class B Semifinal
NORTHAMPTON, MA – In a thrilling display of skill and teamwork, the Northampton Blue Devils triumphed over the Chicopee Pacers with a decisive 16-8 victory in the Semifinal round of the Western Massachusetts Class B tournament held on Thursday. Teagan McDonald and Imanni Power-Greene each shone brightly, netting four goals to lead their team to victory.
Makayla Fydenkevech contributed a hat trick, while Kaydence Braman and Jenna Talbot each added two goals. Ally Busone rounded out the scoring with one goal, and goalkeeper Ainsley Dawson made five crucial saves, helping maintain a 9-4 lead at halftime.
Chicopee’s standout performer, Cassidy Pytel, kept the game competitive with five goals, supported by Sophia Moreira’s hat trick. Goalie Nyeira Wilson recorded 10 saves but ultimately could not close the gap.
This victory marks the Blue Devils’ 11th consecutive win as they advance to face either Mount Greylock or Amherst-Pelham in the finals on Tuesday, May 27. With their sights set on the championship, Northampton continues to build momentum in their pursuit of glory.
