Ford Issues Recall for Over 280,000 Vehicles Due to Safety Concerns

Ford Motor Company has announced a recall affecting more than 280,000 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, citing urgent brake and steering safety issues. The significant recall involves over 273,000 2022-2024 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models. These vehicles may have a defect where the front brake lines can contact the engine’s air cleaner outlet pipe, potentially leading to brake fluid leaks and diminished brake function, thereby heightening crash risk.

Affected vehicle owners are advised to reach out to their Ford dealership. Dealers will inspect the brake line and, if necessary, replace it or the air cleaner outlet pipe at no charge. Notification letters will be mailed on May 26, 2025. For further inquiries, owners can contact Ford’s customer service at 1-866-436-7332, referencing recall number 25S47.

Additionally, nearly 9,200 2025 Ford F150 models face a separate recall due to improperly attached lower intermediate shaft fasteners that may cause steering issues, also increasing crash risk. Similar inspection and repair procedures will apply. This recall’s notification letters will also be sent on May 26, 2025, with Ford customer service available for assistance under recall number 25S46.
