Patriots Enhance Coaching Staff with Veteran Experience

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel is reshaping the team’s coaching landscape, strategically adding seasoned coaches to bolster his staff. Vrabel, who brings six years of head coaching experience from his time with the Tennessee Titans, has prioritized expertise in his selections.
Among the notable additions is offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, a veteran play-caller with a rich history in New England and previous head coaching roles at the Broncos and Raiders. The Patriots’ coaching roster also features former NFL head coaches Doug Marrone, who will oversee the offensive line, and Ben McAdoo, serving as senior defensive assistant. Thomas Brown, the team’s new passing-game coordinator and tight ends coach, stands out as the first in this role in franchise history. His impressive ascent includes a stint as interim head coach for the Bears and experience with the Rams and Panthers.
Vrabel actively pursued Brown, envisioning him as a pivotal figure to boost a struggling passing attack that averaged just 176.2 yards last season. With these strategic hires, the Patriots aim to revitalize their performance and foster a more competitive edge in the upcoming season.
