The Denver Broncos have announced the posthumous induction of wide receiver Demaryius Thomas into the team’s Ring of Fame, marking a significant honor in his first year of eligibility. Thomas tragically passed away at the age of 33 in 2021 due to complications from a seizure. A posthumous diagnosis of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) was confirmed in 2022, adding to the complexity of his legacy. Over his impressive career, Thomas earned five Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl championship, logging five seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards.
After his illustrious tenure in Denver, Thomas briefly played for the New England Patriots before being traded to the New York Jets. His achievements and contributions to the Broncos will ensure he remains a cherished figure in the team’s history.
