Two Springfield Tickets Claim $1 Million Lottery Prizes
In a thrilling turn of events, two winning lottery prizes of $1 million each were recently claimed in Massachusetts, with one ticket hailing from a gas station in Springfield. This lucky ticket was purchased from Nouria gas station and came from the “$4,000,000 Bonus Money” scratch ticket game. As of June 6, there are still six $1 million prizes and two $4 million prizes waiting to be claimed within this game.
The second winning ticket also claimed a $1 million prize, generated from the “$4,000,000 Cash King Doubler.” This game still has eight $1 million and four $4 million prizes available, making it an exciting opportunity for players.
In addition to the million-dollar wins, Thursday night’s “Mass Cash” drawing ushered in two $100,000 winners. Winning tickets for this drawing were sold at One Stop Mart in West Springfield and Gulf gas station in Framingham. However, the drawing experienced a hiccup when it had to be delayed due to several balls falling out of the machine, rendering the initial drawing invalid. Lottery officials confirmed that the mixing chamber door had been inadvertently left open.
Throughout Massachusetts, at least 453 prizes worth $600 or more were either claimed or won on Thursday, with notable wins in Springfield (12 prizes), Worcester (11), and Boston (47). The Massachusetts State Lottery keeps a daily updated list of winning tickets, spotlighting those worth over $600.
So far in 2025, the largest lottery prizes have reached $15 million, drawn from a “Diamond Deluxe” scratch ticket sold in Holyoke and a “300X” scratch ticket purchased on Cape Cod. As the lottery excitement continues, players remain hopeful for more local winners.
