MassLive High School Sports Recap: Girls Lacrosse Tournament Highlights
In the latest round of the state girls lacrosse tournaments held on June 10, several teams advanced to the finals in thrilling matchups across various divisions.
In the State Division I Semifinals, Concord-Carlisle secured a solid 13-6 victory over Chelmsford, while Westford Academy edged out Wellesley with a narrow 11-10 win. Meanwhile, Needham defeated Natick 3-1, and Brookline triumphed over Newton North, also with a score of 3-1.
In the State Division II Semifinals, Reading Memorial pulled off an upset against the top-seeded Notre Dame Academy, winning 8-7, and Walpole comfortably defeated Westwood 14-6. Agawam also progressed, defeating West Springfield 3-2, and Wayland won against Westfield 3-1.
In State Division IV, Cohasset dominated Sandwich with a 19-11 score, and Norwell secured a convincing 16-1 win against Ipswich. Pittsfield advanced in the Round of 8, narrowly beating Uxbridge 4-3.
