Easthampton to Host 12th Annual Cultural Chaos Festival
Easthampton is gearing up for a lively weekend with the 12th Annual Cultural Chaos festival on Saturday, June 14, from noon to 5 p.m. on Cottage Street. This vibrant street festival, organized by Easthampton City Arts (ECA) in celebration of its 20th anniversary, promises organized chaos featuring live music, dance, poetry, visual art, and a variety of food.
Pasqualina Azzarello, arts and culture program director for ECA, emphasized the event’s grassroots nature and its importance within the local economy. “Cultural Chaos is a celebration of everyone that makes Easthampton special,” she noted, highlighting the role of arts in community wellness.
Musical performances will occur across stages, showcasing talents like AfroFusion and the Pamela Means Band. Attendees can indulge in offerings from over 20 local food vendors, including favorites like Amy’s Place and Mt. Tom’s Homemade Ice Cream.
Having grown from its inception, the event attracted over 12,000 attendees last year. ECA, alongside local sponsors and more than 100 volunteers, continues to foster community through arts and culture with initiatives like the Cultural District and various local events.
