In an exciting day for high school tennis, several teams advanced in the MIAA State Tournaments across various divisions. Notable results include Wellesley High School’s impressive 4-1 victory over Winchester in the Division I semifinals, and Dover-Sherborn High School’s dominant performance, sweeping Bishop Fenwick 5-0 in Division III.
Agawam High School claimed the Division II title with a 3-1 win against Wayland, while Silver Lake Regional narrowly defeated Westfield 1-0 in the same division’s semifinals. In Division III, Dighton-Rehoboth secured a convincing 4-0 win over Nipmuc Regional.
Joseph Case High School stunned Hampshire Regional with a decisive 13-0 victory in Division IV semifinals, while Greenfield high school cruised to an 8-0 triumph against Hopedale in Division V.
Championship matches also highlighted the day, with Concord-Carlisle narrowly edging Westford Academy 8-6 in Division I, and Norwell High School triumphing 9-8 over Cohasset in Division IV.
