City Celebrates Groundbreaking for New Athletic Facilities at Westfield High School
WESTFIELD — The Westfield community is invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for new athletic fields at Westfield High School on Monday, June 23, at 9:30 a.m., with demolition set to commence the same day.
This exciting initiative is made possible through a collaboration between Westfield Gas & Electric, Whip City Fiber, the city of Westfield, and Westfield Public Schools. The development will feature state-of-the-art facilities including a lighted track and a multi-sport stadium equipped with an all-sport turf field, enhancing athletic opportunities for students and the community.
The refurbished girls’ athletic fields and Boardman fields will also play a crucial role in promoting sports and activities at the school. This project not only aims to upgrade the current facilities but also to foster a stronger sense of community and school spirit.
