Title: Lawrence Trinitarios Gang Members Charged with Kidnapping Under the Guise of Law Enforcement
Lawrence, MA – Two suspected members of the notorious Trinitarios gang, Isiah Medina (25) and Rodderith Peralta (26), have been charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping after allegedly abducting a man while wearing jackets resembling those of law enforcement. The incident took place on May 5, 2024, in Andover, where witnesses reported seeing a man being forced into a Jeep by the suspects, who wore “DEA” insignia.
The missing man was discovered three days later, explaining to police he was held in a basement, blindfolded, and mistreated. He stated he had been targeted due to his status as a Trinitario associate involved in large-scale drug trafficking. The suspects believed he possessed substantial amounts of drugs or money, prompting the kidnapping.
Evidence, including images found on the suspects’ phones, corroborated the victim’s account. The charges could carry a life sentence upon conviction. Following the recent arrests of over two dozen Trinitarios members for various violent crimes, officials herald this operation as a significant step in combating a gang that has plagued Massachusetts for years. Medina and Peralta are set to appear in U.S. District Court next week.
