Tragic Crash Claims Life of 17-Year-Old in Fairhaven
FAIRHAVEN, MA – A tragic three-car accident on Saturday night resulted in the death of a 17-year-old girl, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. at the intersection of Route 6 and Jeannette Street, where Fairhaven police discovered a severely damaged Nissan Sentra, which was facing the wrong direction.
The lone occupant of the Sentra, a resident of Fairhaven, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second vehicle, a Ford F-250, was found overturned on the westbound side with significant front-end damage. The two adults in their 20s who were inside the truck sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
A third vehicle, a Dodge Ram 1500, exhibited only minor damage, and its occupants remained unharmed. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, and further details, including the identity of the deceased girl, have not yet been released.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.
