Matt James Reveals Monthly Rent in NYC Amid Breakup with Rachael Kirkconnell
Former Bachelor Matt James recently disclosed his substantial rent payment in a TikTok video with real estate influencer Caleb Simpson. According to the now-deleted clip, James, 33, pays approximately $5,500 a month for his luxurious Manhattan apartment. This has been his residence well before he captured the spotlight as the star of Season 25 of The Bachelor.
James previously shared the apartment with his college roommate and best friend, Tyler Cameron. Cameron, who gained fame alongside James in the Bachelor franchise, expressed his pride in James’ accomplishments on social media when he was named the Bachelor in 2020.
Despite his public persona, James’s personal life has taken a turn. He recently split from Rachael Kirkconnell, stating in an emotional social media post that he and Kirkconnell had decided to end their relationship. A source disclosed that the breakup had been “brewing for a while,” attributing it to their differing desires regarding marriage and commitment. Kirkconnell reportedly sought a more serious commitment, while James was not ready to meet those expectations.
As he navigates this challenging phase, James appears to be focusing on self-healing. Cameron suggested in a recent interview that although James is still in recovery from the relationship, he is doing well.
The duo’s close friendship continues to be a source of support amid James’s recent transition. As fans follow his journey, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the former Bachelor.
