Molly McGrath to Host ESPN’s ‘SportsCenter’ Live from the Cape Cod League

Molly McGrath Returns to Roots as ESPN Anchor for "SportsCenter"

Former Boston College graduate and Celtics host Molly McGrath is set to co-anchor ESPN’s "SportsCenter" from Chatham this Tuesday at 6 p.m. This assignment is part of the network’s "50 States in 50 Days" initiative, marking a nostalgic return for McGrath, who has been an integral part of ESPN since 2016 as a college football sideline reporter.

Having spent over a decade on the West Coast, McGrath and her family have relocated back to Massachusetts, settling in a rental while finalizing a new home in Westwood that ironically sits on the street where her husband grew up. The family’s decision to move was influenced by both personal and professional factors, as McGrath expressed her desire to be closer to ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut.

“This opportunity opens more doors for me,” she stated, emphasizing the unique experience of hosting from the Cape, which offers a vibrant atmosphere centered around summer baseball enthusiasts. McGrath is eager to embrace this new chapter, blending her on-screen hosting skills with her love for the Cape and its communities.
