Celtics Conclude Summer League with Victory Over Hawks
The Boston Celtics capped off their Summer League campaign with a commanding 101-80 victory against the Atlanta Hawks in Las Vegas on Sunday. Finishing with a strong 4-1 record, the Celtics showcased their depth and potential as multiple players emerged as possible NBA contributors.
Boston took an early lead in the game, extending it to as much as 24 points. While the Hawks, who previously held a perfect 4-0 record, tried to rally midway through the third quarter, the Celtics maintained control and sealed the game decisively.
Isaiah Wong led the Celtics with 18 points and six assists, supported by Ben Gregg’s 13 points and eight rebounds, and Jalen Bridges adding 16 points. For the Hawks, Kobe Johnson contributed 14 points and six rebounds.
Key Celtics players Jordan Walsh and Baylor Scheierman sat out the final game to rest after playing extensively in prior matches. Walsh showed promise throughout the series, averaging 15.0 points per game.
As the Celtics transition into the offseason, they look forward to preparing for training camp, allowing young talents like the 28th overall draft pick Hugo Gonzalez to refine their skills after a mixed Summer League showing.
