Press Release: Nicole Kidman’s Niece Faces Challenges After Bold Move to London
Lucia Hawley, the niece of Hollywood star Nicole Kidman, is navigating the ups and downs of life after recently relocating from Australia to London. At 26, Hawley has found herself in a challenging position, currently without a steady job as she adjusts to her new surroundings.
In a candid post on her Substack blog, Hawley reflected on her decision to move across the world, describing it as "totally stupid" yet exhilarating. The former host of Australia’s “7Bravo” shared the difficulties of acclimating to her new life, voicing concerns about her financial stability. “I am risk-averse, which means my body quite literally rejects the idea of both moving overseas and being unemployed,” she admitted.
The transition has not been easy for Hawley; she detailed the emotional toll of parting ways with her boyfriend, Henry, and her younger siblings, likening the goodbyes to “trauma.” Despite these challenges, she expressed optimism about her move, stating, “It is exciting and freeing and kind of what life is all about.”
Hawley has a rich familial background in the entertainment industry, being the eldest child of Kidman’s sister Antonia. Prior to her relocation, she enjoyed a holiday in Croatia with her famous aunt and mother, showcasing their close bond through delightful Instagram moments.
Although Hawley recently departed from “7Bravo,” where she hosted until last December, she remains hopeful about finding new opportunities. With a degree in arts from the University of Sydney and experience at Vogue Australia, it’s clear she has the talent and determination to carve out a new path. As she embarks on this new chapter, her quest for stability continues.
