Authorities Investigate Possible Connection Between Prowling Incidents in Boston and Brookline
Local law enforcement continues to investigate a series of prowling incidents involving a man spotted in residential backyards in Allston and Brighton, Boston. Concurrently, Brookline police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual who allegedly followed a woman in the Beacon Street area. This incident reportedly aligns with the ongoing investigation into the Boston occurrences.
Police reported a string of incidents on Kilsyth Road between July 7 and 16, where the suspect—a male who communicates in Spanish—was seen entering backyards before leaving onto nearby roads. While one suspect has been identified, two others remain at large.
The Brookline incident involved a woman being followed from Beacon Street to Ayr Road, where the man persistently questioned her about being lost, despite her reassurances. When she took refuge in a vestibule, the suspect attempted to enter.
Authorities believe these incidents may be connected and are asking the community to report any information. Neither suspect has been charged at this time, but their identification remains a priority for police.
