Los Angeles — Kelley Mack, famed for her role as Addy in Season 9 of The Walking Dead, has died at the age of 33 after battling glioma of the central nervous system, her family announced via social media. Mack passed away peacefully in Cincinnati on Saturday, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow in Cincinnati on July 10, 1992, Mack had a diverse upbringing across Ohio and several other states. After earning a cinematography degree from Chapman University in 2014, she moved to Los Angeles, where she gained recognition for her work in national commercials, including roles for Dr Pepper and Hyundai.
Mack’s character, Addy, captured viewers’ hearts as a resident of Hilltop. Tragically, she endured significant health challenges following a cancer diagnosis in late 2022 that resulted in mobility loss and ongoing pain. Despite her struggles, she maintained a positive outlook throughout her treatment, inspiring many with her resilience.
Mack is survived by her parents, siblings, and boyfriend. A celebration of her life is planned for August 16 in Ohio and another in Los Angeles at a later date. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
