MIAMI, FL – Tyreek Hill, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver, is making waves over a perceived slight in his Madden NFL 26 speed rating. For the first time in six years, Hill, often dubbed "Cheetah" for his explosive speed, received a 98 instead of the coveted 99 rating, prompting him to take to social media to contest the downgrade.
In a recent post on X, Hill showcased his lightning-fast pace by sprinting on a track and hitting a top speed of 26 miles per hour, captioning the clip with, “98 where? Despite the slight dip in his speed rating, Hill’s performance remains commendable, with a strong overall presence in the game, outpacing notable peers such as Davante Adams and Mike Evans. However, the lower rating may be reflective of his relatively quieter 2024 season, in which he accumulated 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Hill’s standing in the league is well-established; he has consistently dazzled fans since his rookie year in 2016, recording astonishing speeds, including a then-record 23.24 mph during a kick return. In 2023, he was recognized for several top in-game speeds, emphasizing his continued dominance.
