Delta Air Lines Aircraft Accidentally Clips Another Plane at Atlanta Airport

ATLANTA, GA — In a minor incident on Sunday morning, a Delta Air Lines plane clipped another aircraft while being pushed back from the gate at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Delta confirmed that the wing of the aircraft made contact with an empty plane. The flight, scheduled for Guatemala City, was delayed temporarily as passengers—192 in total—were transferred to another plane. Fortunately, Delta reported no injuries among the onboard crew, which included two pilots and four flight attendants.

In related news, Ford Motor Co. has announced the delay of its next-generation electric commercial van and full-size pickup truck until 2028. This postponement follows a trend in the automotive sector, as manufacturers reassess the demand for high-cost electric vehicles and their supporting infrastructure. Despite a previous timeline that projected the commercial van’s release in 2026 and the pickup truck’s production starting in 2027, the evolving consumer landscape prompted this shift. Ford’s spokesperson indicated that prototype production for the pickup is still set to launch in 2027.

These developments illustrate the challenges and adjustments within both the airline and automotive industries.
