Police say 2 individuals were arrested following a brawl at The Big E on Saturday


Two men, James Stanley of Haverhill and Levi Stanley of Amherst, New Hampshire were arrested by the West Springfield Police following a fight at The Big E that left multiple people injured. The incident took place on Industrial Avenue around 5 p.m. and resulted in several people being taken to Baystate Medical Center for treatment. James and Levi Stanley are facing charges including disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property over $1,200, assault and battery, and unarmed robbery. The police department reported that a large group of individuals, some of whom were known to them, were seen fleeing the area and the fairgrounds onto Memorial Avenue. The siblings were detained near Gate 8 of The Big E and issued letters of trespass for the fair. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that James Stanley had taken items from at least one of the individuals he allegedly assaulted. The West Springfield Police made a statement on their Facebook page regarding the incident. The arrests serve as a reminder of the importance of safety and security at public events, and the police are urging attendees to report any incidents of violence or suspicious behavior.
