Massachusetts man facing murder charges held without bail

Thomas A. Pizarro, a 33-year-old man from Methuen, has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in Lawrence. Pizarro pled not guilty in Lawrence District Court and was ordered to be held without bail. Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker confirmed that Pizarro agreed to be held without bail “without prejudice,” meaning he will remain in custody until his next court appearance.

The shooting victim was identified as a Lawrence resident, though their identity has not been released to the public. Pizarro is currently being held at the Middleton House of Corrections and is scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause hearing on October 11.

Law enforcement officials have not provided details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but they are actively investigating the case. The community is in shock over the tragic incident, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Pizarro’s attorney has not made any public statements at this time. It is unclear if there were any additional suspects involved in the shooting, as the investigation is still ongoing. More information is expected to be revealed as the case progresses through the legal system.

The residents of Methuen and Lawrence are mourning the loss of the shooting victim and seeking justice for their untimely death. The outcome of Pizarro’s upcoming court hearing will shed more light on the events that led to this tragic incident.
