Zelenskyy vows Ukraine will never agree to external deal to end war in Russia-Ukraine conflict

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has firmly stated that Ukraine will not accept any peace deal dictated by outside forces, emphasizing the importance of following his own peace plan to end the war with Russia. During his address to the UN General Assembly, Zelenskyy criticized China and Brazil for proposing what he called “half-hearted settlement plans” that prioritize their interests over Ukraine’s.
As Russian forces continue to make advances in eastern Ukraine, Zelenskyy has expressed concerns about potential attacks on the country’s nuclear power plants, warning of the devastating effects that could result from a nuclear disaster. Zelenskyy is set to meet with US President Joe Biden to seek support for Ukraine’s renewed “victory plan” and potentially request authorization to use US-supplied ballistic missiles deeper inside Russia.
The Ukrainian leader’s visit to the White House also includes meetings with Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump, and Congress, where he will continue to advocate for international assistance in ending the war. Zelenskyy’s determination to secure peace and protect Ukraine’s sovereignty remains steadfast as the country faces ongoing challenges on the battlefield and in the realm of energy security.
