The Boston Bruins have finalized their roster for the 2024-25 NHL season, designating three players – Matt Poitras, Ian Mitchell, and Alec Regula – as “injured non-roster” to bring their roster below the maximum. Poitras and Mitchell were present at practice in Florida but in non-contract jerseys, while Regula has missed most of the preseason. The team will carry 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goalies.
Among the new faces on the forward line are Elias Lindholm, Mark Kastelic, Max Jones, Cole Koepke, and Riley Tufte. Justin Brazeau will be on the opening night roster for the first time in his career and is expected to line up with Trent Frederic and Max Jones. Poitras’ absence will provide opportunities for Koepke or Tufte to step up.
On defense, Nikita Zadorov will make his Bruins debut alongside Brandon Carlo, Hampus Lindholm, Mason Lohrei, Charlie McAvoy, Andrew Peeke, and Parker Wotherspoon.
In goal, Joonas Korpisalo, acquired in the Ullmark trade, will join newly signed No. 1 goalie Jeremy Swayman. The roster changes signal a mix of familiar faces and new additions as the Bruins prepare for the upcoming season.
