Tuten shines in record-breaking performance as Virginia Tech defeats Boston College 42-21

Virginia Tech’s Bhayshul Tuten had a record-breaking night as he rushed for 266 yards and accounted for four touchdowns in a 42-21 victory over Boston College. The Hokies scored touchdowns on their first three possessions and built a 28-0 lead at halftime. While Boston College made a comeback to cut the lead to 28-21, they were ultimately unable to overcome the Hokies’ strong performance.

Quarterback Kyron Drones also had a stellar game with two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown, helping Virginia Tech secure their second consecutive win. The Hokies finished the game with a season-high 533 yards, showing significant improvement after a slow start to the season.

For Boston College, the loss was disappointing as they struggled offensively and defensively throughout the game. They fumbled on back-to-back possessions in the first quarter, leading to Virginia Tech touchdowns, and were unable to recover from the early deficit.

Looking ahead, Boston College will host Louisville on October 25, while Virginia Tech will host Georgia Tech on October 26. The Hokies seem to be hitting their stride with two consecutive wins, while Boston College will need to regroup after a tough defeat.
