Soap opera star Wayne Northrop has passed away at the age of 77 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Northrop, known for his roles in “Days of Our Lives” and “Dynasty,” died at the Motion Picture and Television Woodland Hills Home, surrounded by his family. His wife, Lynn Herring Northrop, expressed gratitude for the care he received at the facility.
Northrop began his acting career with small roles on various TV shows before landing the role of Detective Roman Brady in “Days of Our Lives.” He also appeared on “General Hospital” and its spinoff “Port Charles.” Additionally, Northrop starred in “Dynasty” as Michael Culhane.
In addition to his acting career, Northrop was known for his love of wildlife and conservation. He and his wife purchased a cattle ranch in California and converted the oldest house in Raymond into a museum. Lynn Herring Northrop, a former beauty queen and actress, has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards for her work on soap operas.
