A lucky lottery player from Massachusetts struck it big during Monday night’s Powerball drawing, taking home a whopping $1 million prize. The winning ticket, sold at a Mobil gas station in Tewksbury, matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball number. Despite the big win, there were no jackpot winners that night, leaving the jackpot at an estimated $240 million.
In addition to the Powerball win, two other players scored big in the Massachusetts State Lottery on Monday. One lucky individual claimed a $1 million prize from the new “Celtics Banner 18” scratch ticket game, purchased at a Speedway in Seekonk. Another player snagged a $1 million prize from the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword 2024” scratch ticket game, with the winning ticket sold at Pacific Liquors store in Lowell.
Adding to the excitement, two more players each walked away with $100,000 during the “Mass Cash” drawing, with winning tickets sold at Roche Bros. in Mashpee and Minute Market in Somerville. Overall, over 785 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, with the largest prize won in the state this year being $1 million from the “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket game.
The Massachusetts State Lottery continues to release a full list of winning tickets every day, ensuring that lucky winners can claim their life-changing prizes.
