Baseball Hall of Fame committee disappoints fans by snubbing late Red Sox legend Luis Tiant once more

The Classic Baseball Era committee made their selections for the Hall of Fame, electing Dave Parker and the late Dick Allen, but leaving out the late Red Sox legend Luis Tiant. The committee, consisting of Hall of Famers Paul Molitor, Eddie Murray, Tony Pérez, Lee Smith, and others, required a minimum of 12 votes from the 16 members for a candidate to be inducted.

Dave Parker, a former outfielder known for his power hitting and strong arm, was chosen for induction into the Hall of Fame. Dick Allen, a power-hitting infielder known for his offensive prowess, was also selected posthumously.

The exclusion of Luis Tiant, a beloved pitcher who played for the Red Sox and other teams during his career, has caused some controversy among fans and analysts. Tiant, known for his unorthodox pitching style and success on the mound, has been passed over multiple times by various Hall of Fame committees.

The decisions made by the Classic Baseball Era committee have sparked debate and discussion among baseball fans, with some expressing disappointment over Tiant’s exclusion from this year’s Hall of Fame class.
