A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck parts of West Texas, specifically about 15 miles southwest of Ackerly, 60 miles northwest of Midland, and 320 miles west of Dallas. The earthquake occurred at a depth of about 1 mile, with no injuries or damages reported. This is part of a series of recent earthquakes along the Texas-New Mexico border, with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 4.6. Areas such as Carlsbad, Alamogordo, Roswell in New Mexico, and El Paso in Texas have reported feeling the quakes.
