As Election Day approaches in 100 days, some voters may have the opportunity to cast their ballots in less time. Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumed Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden’s announcement, has just under two months to campaign. Meanwhile, Republican nominee Donald Trump announced his reelection bid two years ahead of Election Day.
Harris has hit the ground running, raising $126 million in the first three days after taking over the nomination. Trump has shifted his focus from Biden to Harris in response. Pennsylvania, a crucial battleground state, could start accepting ballots in just 50 days.
Several states have early voting periods approaching, with some making it more challenging to apply for an absentee ballot. The National Conference of State Legislatures lists states with early in-person voting options, as well as those without an early voting system.
From Alaska to Wyoming, states have varying early voting start dates ranging from September to October. Some states offer absentee options but do not have official early voting periods. The countdown to Election Day is on, with voters soon having the opportunity to cast their ballots.
