Cambridge woman accused of stabbing Boston restaurant worker

Alicia Morasse, a 29-year-old Cambridge woman, is facing multiple charges after allegedly stabbing a man inside a Boston restaurant on Sunday night. The incident led to her arraignment in Boston Municipal Court on charges including assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, vandalizing property, and threatening to commit a crime. Police responded to the scene at 1 Harrison Ave. after Morasse caused a disturbance in the restaurant and stabbed a man before fleeing the area.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and Morasse was located and arrested by police using surveillance footage and an image of her. A knife was recovered from her backpack during the arrest. Prosecutors stated that Morasse entered the restaurant, ordered food, and got into an argument with employees before the altercation turned physical, with Morasse allegedly holding a knife and making stabbing motions towards an employee’s head.

Morasse has pleaded not guilty to the charges and has been ordered committed without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Her attorney’s contact information was not immediately available. The incident is a concerning act of violence within the community, leading to Morasse’s serious legal consequences as the justice system continues to address the situation.
