The brutal assault involved dozens of masked settlers opening fire, setting cars on fire, and destroying homes and property in the village, leading to widespread condemnation from Palestinians and international leaders. This incident is part of a surge in Israeli military and settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, with nearly 600 Palestinians killed since the beginning of the Gaza war.
Various Palestinian factions, including Hamas, have condemned the attack as part of Israel’s efforts to terrorize and eradicate Palestinian communities.
