This Ray Charles, not to be confused with the soulful genius, was a musician known for his work as a choral director, lyricist, and composer for Perry Como. He also collaborated with the Kennedy Center Honors and was behind the Ray Charles Singers. Additionally, he wrote the popular tune “The Fifty Nifty United States” and sang the theme for “Three’s Company.”
