ArtWorks Westfield’s Friday Night Summer Concert series is extending past its original end date with two rain date performances. Whitaker Hill will be performing tonight and Whiskey Traveler will take the stage on Friday, Aug. 30, both starting at 7 p.m. The concerts will be held at Elm Street Plaza, the new concert venue located on the site of the former J.J. Newberry’s department store.
Bill Curran Jr., drummer and founding member of Whitaker Hill, expressed his excitement for the upcoming performances at the new venue. The Friday Night Summer Concert series has been a popular event in Westfield, drawing in crowds to enjoy live music in a communal outdoor setting.
The decision to extend the concert series was made in response to the positive reception from the community and the success of the previous performances. The rain dates allow for the opportunity to continue to showcase local talent and provide entertainment for residents and visitors in Westfield.
ArtWorks Westfield is known for its commitment to promoting the arts and supporting local artists. The Friday Night Summer Concert series is just one of the many events and programs offered by the organization to engage the community and foster a love for the arts.
Attendees can look forward to a lively atmosphere, great music, and a chance to experience the vibrant arts scene in Westfield. With the addition of the rain date performances, the concert series is sure to end on a high note.
