A bull that went missing two months ago in Roslindale was found by Boston Animal Care and Control on August 20. The bull had escaped from its owner, who was unaware that farm animals are illegal to own in Boston. After a days-long search involving officers canvassing the area and the use of a thermal drone, the bull was finally located hiding in thick brush.
Boston Animal Care and Control successfully lured the bull into a temporary pen they built and worked alongside the MSPCA Nevins Farm Equine and Farm Animal Rescue Team to move the bull into a trailer for transport to Nevins Farm in Methuen. The MSPCA is currently searching for a suitable adopter for the rescued bull.
The unit jokingly referred to their efforts as “cow-culated” and “moo-ve,” adding a touch of humor to the rescue operation. The bull’s discovery and safe relocation highlight the importance of responsible ownership of animals and the collaborative efforts of animal care organizations in the Boston area.
This heartwarming story showcases the dedication of animal control professionals and the commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of animals in the community. The successful rescue of the missing bull serves as a reminder of the importance of proper animal care and the impact of teamwork in animal rescue operations.
